Re: DOSBox, FreeDos, etc...
Hello riquericco, AmigaOS's command line interface, AmigaDOS, is based on TRIPOS operating system . TRIPOS and AmigaDOS are pre-emptive multi-tasking systems and thus quite different from the MSDOS variants. I.e. AmigaDOS is not MSDOS/FreeDOS/OpenDOS compatible. You can find more information on Amig...

Re: AmigaInput fails to start with unknown USB device?
It shouldn't crash, of course. In the T:usb.log, do you have anything related to the device (Is it a mouse?)? The USB log should contain these lines if there is no driver: No interface driver of 0x???????? {Class ??.??} has been found [0x????????] Could not bind any suitable driver for ??? ? = hexad...

Re: ARexx undefined behavior
To me it looks like an ARexx bug where $ variable gets a value of some memory address instead of 12, when $ is set in the fff function. The bug seems to emerge not before the fff has been called at least ten times.

Re: HW-Sensors interface?
It looks like some PowerPC processors have a Thermal Assist Unit (TAU) which can tell the current CPU temperature. See here for more information: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN1800.pdf.

Re: HW-Sensors interface?
Nobody seems to have ever looked at implementing anything for the older machines (Sams, A1s, A4k/A1k2 with Phase5 PPCs), and my guess is it's because there isn't any (known) API or even the necessary sensors for those. There is a CPU temperature monitor for AmigaOne: http://os4depot.net/?function=s...

Re: Question about future of AmigaOS 4.1 and 4.2
Hello hlt, Hyperion is the only one who can answer your question. Beta testers are under a NDA so we can't comment on AmigaOS 4's future. About the hardware... I think A-EON is doing a great job by providing new PPC computers to Amiga, MorphOS, and Linux users. I'm looking forward to the AmigaOne A1...

AmigaOS 4 and Classic Amiga emulation
Hi, Now that AmigaOS 3.1.4 has been released, I'm curious if the new Kickstart ROM will be included in the next AmigaOS 4 release. AOS 4.1 Final Edition came with a Classic Amiga emulator and Kickstart ROMs 40.60 and 40.68. Are there any plans to include the new Kickstart ROM in the next AOS4 releas...

Re: Creativity extras
I picked most of the listed software from the OS4Depot. It seems that you only need OS4Depot's permission to distribute the programs with AOS4 since authors have granted distribution rights to OS4Depot when they uploaded their programs and ticked the "Distribute" box on the OS4Depot's uplo...

Creativity extras
Hello, For me Amiga has always been a creativity tool. I'm proposing that a set of self expression tools would be included in the next AOS4 version as extras, so that everyone can start creating right away :) I'm proposing 6 tool categories: music , graphics , video , creative writing , game making ...
