Re: Bug in FE Update 2 Date Command

I was hoping that with this update I could fix my issue, but it doesn't. Indeed, each time I return from my Linux environment (Fienix) to the Amiga environment, the time goes back two hours :? . When I start on the Amiga environment, the corrected time is saved. Yes I've had that issue in the past,...

Re: TextEditor & StringGadget Cursor colour Tags?

I created an enhancement request for a dedicated CURSORPEN, BZ 10326 can't give any guarantees as to it's adoption though :-)

Re: TextEditor & StringGadget Cursor colour Tags?

A quick test confirms that the cursor background is taken from the shine colour in GUI prefs. There doesn't appear to be a distinct cursor colour pen ID. I'm not sure that seperate tags to allow setting the cursor colour would be useful as every app would need to be updated to make any use of them. ...

Re: How to set hostname on DHCP client?

I'm not sure if you can set your hostname on the network with DHCP none of my machines ever show up with name on the routers I've used (though loonix and windozes ones can do it). To get past this I used to use static IP on my old network setup. On the new setup, since moving there are many machines...

Re: Messed up my Fienix

The upper right panel has two of those monitor screen icons, plus two arrows one up one down, each.
Those 'monitors' look like stylized Ethernet sockets to me :-)

I'm not loonix expert but I seem to remeber right clicking on a "panel" will bring up a menu including an edit option?

Re: CFS/00 filesystem not recognized by OS4.1 FE

Anyway, they worked ok with OS 4.1 classic and also with OS 3.x. That is suprising but I'l take your word for it, I even installed the disk back into my old machine and I checked once more - those CSF/0 partitions are indeed recognized on both side. But with 4.1 FE Prerelease new partitions created...

Anyway, they worked ok with OS 4.1 classic and also with OS 3.x. That is suprising but I'l take your word for it, Are these partitions formatted with data? Yes. Probably nothing important but my intention was to check their contents before reformatting them. [/quote] OK try just changing the CFS to...

Re: CFS/00 filesystem not recognized by OS4.1 FE

CFS means "stupid user didn't read the manual". It simply stands for Custom File System and is the contents of the DosType input field which you should overtype when you add a new file system to the RDB. It should never be used for file systems and partitions. (But it can if you use it in...

Really? I am quite sure you could use PFS3 in OS4, at least in OS4.0.
I think you are right, they can be. Though they may need to be in L: rather than RDB? Not confident on that, it's an absolute age since I used a 68k filesystem per seh.
