A few years ago I had this running on an A4000, 3.1 ROMs with a Mediator and it was rock solid. However I had network issues, it would always stall update downloads. So I forgot about it.

Does Sirion USB stack support ethernet adapters?
To maybe save up a PCI slot, does the native USB stack (which supports my Zorro usb card) support ethernet adapters and if so which ones?

Re: Solved: Can not get my RTL8029AS to work
Oh well, no response here. Luckily I got everything working with a different rtl8029as card. This card has default values for DeviceID and VendorID. So either I still didn't do that setenv thing the right way after all these different ways I tried it or the setenv simply doesn't work anymore for ...

Re: Solved: Can not get my RTL8029AS to work
OK, so I give up with the rtl8029 PCI card. I can't get it to work.
I tried several ENV: settings.
I tried multiple jumper configs on the mediator board.
Nothing works. Maybe I still need to use different VENDORID/DEVICEID settings? The card shows the following:

My internet searches do not give definitive answers.
According to HD-zone X-Surf 100 is supported in AOS 4.1 FE Classic. Correct? Which driver to use? I read some drivers are unstable.
What is unclear to me, is the RapidRoad, that sits on top of the X-Surf-100, supported out of the box by AOS 4.1 ...

Re: 2nd IDE cable + CDROM
The only way I got this to finally work was simply installing IDEfix97. But it was my impression that I shouldn't have to do this since AOS4.1 comes with IDEsplitter support out of the box....

Hyperion/support presence on this forum
Just a question to get the right expectations. How official is the support forum? Is it just a community forum where you post, cross your fingers and hope to get an answer. Or is it really the formal support forum and can posts be compared to support tickets?

Re: 2nd IDE cable + CDROM
Yes, sorry it's a typo. I meant the correct A4000 line not the A1200 line.
