Re: Ubuntu 16.04: KeePass Password Manager

Hi Christian,

What a chance for those who work with Ubuntu. I consider KeePass to be essential. I'm on Fienix and don't want to mount two different Linux distributions on my X5000. If Fienix doesn't evolve any more, I think I'll switch to Ubuntu.

Thank you for your valuable work.

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro

Hi Casey, Debian regulars will say that "su -" is best, others will prefer "sudo". The question that should be asked for the adoption of the right system is to check which one offers the most security while remaining simple to use. For my part, I would prefer "su -" which is a legacy of Unix system ...

Re: Kernel 5.9

It works. The download was not good.

I noticed a red "FAILED" message when scrolling through the initial text that I never had before. Unable to read this message, it’s too fast. Is there a way to stop it to read or pause it?

Re: Kernel 5.9

Okay, I don't know why, but I can't extract the files properly, either on my Linux laptop, nor in my Fienix environment.

Re: Kernel 5.9

I can't find the file. I guess it must be in the zip file you sent us.

For the X5000 part, I only have three directories: dtbs, Kernel_Modules and src without the uImage file.

Re: Kernel 5.9

Hi Christian,

I would test this version of the kernel if you could tell me how to proceed.

Is it just a matter of replacing the .dts file?

Re: Starting Linux without unplugging Amiga drives

Thanks for putting me on the trail. Thanks to your suggestions, I can now start linux and the Amiga without disconnecting anything and without a USB key. I did not fully understand how the startup of the two systems works. Initially, I relied on two tips: https://forum.hyperion-entertainment.com/vie...

Hi Skateman,

The controller is ordered. I will get back to you as soon as it is assembled and tested.

Thanks again ;)

Starting Linux without unplugging Amiga drives

Hello, I installed Fienix on an SSD hard drive of my X5000 and am very satisfied. Currently, I have to plug either my Linux SSD directly to the motherboard or my two Amiga SSDs. I would have liked to use Linux and Amiga without having to disconnect and reconnect the corresponding disks, for example ...
