Re: X5000/40 - NGFS and AmigaOS 4.1 FE Update 2
I had so many problems with NGFS, even with Update 1, that I definitely wouldn't go back to it again. Since I formatted all my disks in SFS2, I can finally work quietly on my AmigaOne x5000. Still, I insisted, ran NGFCHECK to repair, often unsuccessfully, reformatted, reinstalled, etc. ...for years ...

Re: [fixed] New X5000 boots to white screen
@Spectre660
I've been on onboard Ethernet forever and I still get these hangs as described above: occasionally the screen freezes with the title bar visible and just a white background. Sometimes a reboot is not enough. I turn off my x5000 completely, wait a few seconds, turn it back on and it ...

Re: Void Linux
Hi kilaueabart,
Is there any point to the OctoXBPS icon on the Void desktop?
OctoXBPS is surely convenient, but we can very well do without it. The online commands used for package management are clearly explained on the Void site ( https://docs.voidlinux.org/xbps/index.html ). It's just a ...

Re: New kernels
Hello,
I am doing the tests under kernel 5.15.1 with my Radeon R7 250X card and see that the Arcticfox drop-down menus are transparent. So I change my graphic card and note this time that I no longer boot. When rebooting I sometimes have LED 9 flashing (MCU1).
I'm sorry, but I cannot do the tests ...

Re: Booting Linux from PCI card
Wouaou, thank you very much for your research
. I had not seen the Kalea site.
I wonder though. I was using this card to plug in my DVD player. However, I probably could not get the player to work on the Amiga anymore, since I would not have a driver for the card.

Re: Booting Linux from PCI card
Hi Roland,
Booting Linux from a Sii3512 would not be wise anyway as these old Sii cards are only Sata1!
Yes, indeed, this card is so slow that it can do a lot of damage. I experienced it again this weekend. This PCI card is absolutely to be banned.
