Re: X5000
What i notice myself, is that when i install Odyssey on public NGFS (that one which come with x5000), then i never-ever have favicons for the sites in the tabs after i exit/run odyssey again. I can't test it on the latest NGFS at moment, but with public one there is for sure issue of this kind. It'...

Re: Blank WB (no icons) after 3.1.4. install
The digital download is for people with ROM burner or some who’s going to use for emulation. Depends. If you have (like me) the "Disk Based Digital Download" version then the same mechanics as the "old" AmigaOS 3.9 update are used: the (infamous) ROM update dual-boot. This way I...

Re: 3.1.4 and Deficons
I'm also using Peter's icon.library but I'm not complaining about displaying icons. They appears ok but I'm writing about Deficons. System cannot recognize file types and not show proper icon. Only def_project. I have AmigaOS 3.1.4 on Amiga 600, ACA620. The problem is, that in theory "3.1.4&qu...

Re: External USB CD/DVD that works with X5000
Ah, sorry for the late reply. While building up some of my systems (Pegasos II/Sam440ep) I occasionally did use an external housed slim-line USB-DVD drive. It just worked, nothing special.amigasociety wrote: Guess no one uses external USB CD/DVD units here.

Re: ICONS gone USB->HDD
I tried VAMP from os4depot, copied the LHA to my HDD and depacked it and it DOES NOT COMBINE the files with the .info file. So I get ghost Icons from the program and a ghost Icon as .INFO. Normally, the .INFO should be the Icon for the Folder/file with the same Name. IS NOT. . What you see as a &qu...

Re: Sam440ep bootable CD
You DID make an ISO of the disk contents source tree and use that ISO as the source for AmiDVD, didn't you? Yes, I did (except some alterations in WBStartup - you really don't want to laod all that stuff from CD...:-)). I checked the ISO with diskimage.device, did a verify after burning and in the ...

Re: Sam440ep bootable CD
Is the slb file in the right place? Yes, slb_v2 (1.19) lives in L:. How is the order of devices on your Sam? If the HD comes before the CD (unit-wise), it might prefer the one it finds first. UBoot variables are "standard", which reads: boot1=s4siicdrom, boot2=s4sii. In hardware the HD co...

Sam440ep bootable CD
Hi, in the foremath of installing 4.1 FE I'll try to generate a bootable AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6 (final ;-)) CD for my Sam440ep. In principle it's a backup of my actual Sam440ep-Workbench, burned with AmiDVD to a CD-R with "AmigaOS bootable" ticked on. But whatever I try, it doesn't fetch the...
