Re: Conflict between lsi53c8xx and RadeonHD driver?

Just to let you know, the reason was found and fixed. lsi53c8xx based devices are now working fine on X5000. The components are currently in beta test, but it is not decided yet, when they will be released.

Re: Conflict between lsi53c8xx and RadeonHD driver?

Actually, there is no issue on X1000, but what you described is reproducible on X5000. We are currently investigating this.

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

The working, is : Logitech ITouch P/N 867063-0104 ( White multimedia, with two USB ports, that don't work in the X5000 ( "low voltage level" appears in workbench). But works in PC. I think there's a problem with USB, at least in my board. No, your USB ports are fine. Thing is, each USB 2.0 port is ...

Re: Odyssey - YouTube - Offline Movies - system freezes

Interesting, thanks for the report.

However, at the moment, I can't explain why it actually works. Maybe there are workarounds in the driver as well, but I currently lack the time to check the code. Sorry.

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

Well, Varisys is only a contractor of A-EON and is not responsible for customer support. So it is A-EON who needs to care as the "manufacturer". But strictly spoken, you should always go through your dealer to get 1st level support. He is your contract partner. If he can't do anything himself and po...

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

@ Ribdevil
Wow.. the keyboard being the reason for the realtime clock not working.. that is.. scary :/

@ Roland
So how did this mysterious beta tester and experienced user then solve the issue? Got his board replaced by A-EON?

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

IF it is the oscillator, how complicated is it to change it? Is it surface-mounted...? Yes, it is the tiny silver "barrel" right beside the coin cell on the main board. However, crystal oscillators don't just oscillate because they can, they must get "animated" from the outside to do it. So it migh...

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock

@ Roland Ok, if you replaced the battery already with a fresh one, regardless of checking the voltage, it rules out that easy solution. Was just asking to be sure. I confess, I'm short of ideas. You are saying that the realtime clock does not behave, regardless under which OS you set it, so it reall...
