Re: Left out icons disappear
2) Does the problem happen if you don't use "Workbench Explorer", but genuine OS4 components?
That is certainly not WE's fault because i didn't want to use it at all to make sure it won't mess up things again.
I only used it to check .backdrop file after crash and when i noticed icons are gone. I ...

Re: Left out icons disappear
I have some new findings regarding disappearing icons.
It appears that not Workbench Explorer causes corruption of .backdrop file, it's Odyssey.
After it crashed, icons have gone and .backdrop file is seen as a binary in WE again,
furthermore even if there is still one path to the file that should ...

Re: Left out icons disappear
@salass00
.backdrop file after deleting it now points to appropriate items and it is text file, but before it's been recognized as a binary file in WorkbenchExplorer's information window. I start to suspect that maybe WE had something to do with corrupting files, as it seems to be a bit buggy. I do ...

Re: Left out icons disappear
In the drawer i have another drawer for screenshots and that drawer goes to desktop, plus two text files they sit in the same drawer
Partition---> Drawer---->Drawer2 | File1 | File2
Drawer2 and File1 and 2 are Left Out.
Appologies for a confusion, i should be more precise.

Left out icons disappear
I'm not sure if that was reported somewhere, but recently i've noticed that icons that i put on WB's desktop
came back to its original drawer after switching off and on my Amiga. File system of the partition that i
hold mentioned files is NGFS 54.41. I think it's related to that. Maybe someone has ...

Re: NGFilesystem file corruption
Is there anything that ordinary user can do about that, i.e. opening file manually and saving it? Is it possible with cookies?
Other nuisance is caching fonts every time i open Odyssey, is it due to the same issue as with cookies?

Re: Connecting a "Competion Pro USB Joystick"...
Of course you can use usb controllers, you can even use classic controllers with adapter like this .
But not through DB9 connector on the back, it's only for capturing serial logs. Regarding usb joypads/sticks. You need to go to Amigainput preferences and make
sure it's been recognized. It should be ...

Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if a CMI8738 PCIe card carries the problematic bridge revision or not before having a direct look at the chip printing (product numbers ending in "1B1" are problematic, others should work) or via Ranger/PCIScan/my test tool.
