And if yes, how about graphics cards? Can I use plain frame buffer if I have RX for AmigaOS?

So I've just spent some time catching up with latest kernels.

Tested final 6.18 and installed to Xenial for testing. Found it works fine with Xenial. No problems encountered.

I am not sure about X5000, but you can try universal lmsensors :
apt-get install lm-sensors
sensors-detect
sensors

I tested here linux last year and it works very well - old SPE Debian, old PPC LUbuntu and latest PPC void.
Even with PPC FPU emulation performance of Office and Gimp is better with Pegasos 2 or Sam460. Of course, X1000 is far better.
