Next step: 891dcc1072f1fa27a83da920d88daff6ca08fc02 (powerpc/dma: remove dma_nommu_dma_supported)
Output:
Link to the Git: powerpc-dma.6
Code: Select all
git clone git://git.infradead.org/users/hch/misc.git -b powerpc-dma.6 a
Code: Select all
git checkout 891dcc1072f1fa27a83da920d88daff6ca08fc02
Code: Select all
Note: checking out '891dcc1072f1fa27a83da920d88daff6ca08fc02'.
You are in 'detached HEAD' state. You can look around, make experimental
changes and commit them, and you can discard any commits you make in this
state without impacting any branches by performing another checkout.
If you want to create a new branch to retain commits you create, you may
do so (now or later) by using -b with the checkout command again. Example:
git checkout -b <new-branch-name>
HEAD is now at 891dcc1... powerpc/dma: remove dma_nommu_dma_supported

Re: Kernel 5.0
Results: PASEMI onboard ethernet works and the X5000 (P5020 board) boots. I also successfully tested sound, hardware 3D acceleration, Bluetooth, network, booting with a label etc. The uImages work also in a virtual e5500 quad-core QEMU machine.xeno74 wrote:Next step: 891dcc1072f1fa27a83da920d88daff6ca08fc02 (powerpc/dma: remove dma_nommu_dma_supported)

I released these kernels with Christoph's third DMA patches for testing today.

You have posted: "both iterations up and running well". Did you test both kernels? Do both RC1 kernels work with the two graphics card?
Thanks for testing!

Sorry away from my x5000 on vacation. Yes tested both RC1 candidates. Only the version without DRM would boot to my Firepro. Ill lodge the issue on tge site you gave me upon my return in acouple of days.

Thanks a lot for reporting!
I will compile the kernels without the DRM patches as long as possible.

Re: Kernel 5.0
Does this mean that the onboard ethernet on the X5000 now works?xeno74 wrote: Results: PASEMI onboard ethernet works and the X5000 (P5020 board) boots. I read it like that but I can not get it to run on my system. I could be reading it wrong
It case it is so how do I enable it i Fienix?
Thank you!

Re: Kernel 5.0
Unfortunately it doesn't work. The PASEMI onboard ethernet is from the Nemo board.JohnFante wrote:Does this mean that the onboard ethernet on the X5000 now works?xeno74 wrote: Results: PASEMI onboard ethernet works and the X5000 (P5020 board) boots.
