Hello,
I installed the catweasel mk2 to my x1000 yesterday. All worked OK, floppys showing fine.
Turned the x1000 off and on 2 or 3 times, all ok.Went to bed.
Turned on today and boots to the red gauge and then the OS 4.1 screen but then the screen goes black with no start up sound either.
I tried booting with pressing F and i get the message
" Error:DRQ should be zero."
and "Had to read data 1024 times to clear DRQ"
I have tried booting from CD os4.1. and the red gauge starts to move and you can hear the cd loading but when it reaches the far right it just stalls.
I have removed the catweasel and tried re booting but the dame problem is there.
I have sent a support ticket to Amigakit.
Thanks,

Re: Booting problems after catweasel install
Remove the catweasel.
Then wait for red bar to finish, the hold both mouse buttons down. Boot with no startup-sequence.
Then remove devs:DosDrivers/DF0.
See if it boots then.

Re: Booting problems after catweasel install
Delete the file that Chris mentioned by typing "delete devs:dosdrivers/df0" (that's a zero, not an "O").
It should repeat the prompt.
Now reboot - a warm reboot is enough (Ctrl/LAmiga/RAmiga).

Re: Booting problems after catweasel install
Have deleted the dfo.
Still a blank screen though when I boot.
Have done a boot with no startup sequence and then in dos "LOADWB" then "ENDCLI" which gets me to the workbench.
Any other ideas on getting the full workbench back.

Re: Booting problems after catweasel install
There's a lot more in the Startup-Sequence than just "LoadWB". The proper way is to type "Execute S:Startup-sequence", but it's easier to let the machine do that for you.
If it doesn't boot by itself with no interference from you, then I'll shut up and let Chris handle it. BTW, that message about "trying 1024 times to clear DRQ" usually results from leaving an audio CD in the drive.

Re: Booting problems after catweasel install
If you have removed df0 from devs:dosdrivers, then it isnt going to be that causing your issue.
Post your startup-sequence, so I can see.
We really need to do this through our support ticket system. As your not updating that, I dont always come here.
Did you Burn the Recovery.iso that is on the Workbench screen to a Disc?
