The case I bought to house my SAM460ex has earphone and mike outlets on the front with a cable inside ending with a female plug labelled "AC'97."
The list of connectors for the SAM460ex in the EndUserManual v1.1 says "J41 - Audio front panel AC97." However, J41 has 10 pins, whereas an AC'97 connector has only nine, with nothing in the pin 8 position. Indeed, the connector on my case's AC'97 cable has only nine holes. I'd kind of like to be able to use the case-front connectors, but I'm puzzled; what's the deal?
