Hi Ace,

Many thanks for testing the RC4. Good to know, that your mouse and Firepro work with the RC4. Could you please post your result with your mouse in the bug report thread?

Please attach the corresponding Xorg log file. If you can't log into the system remotely, it should be available as Xorg.0.log.old after rebooting.
Could you please post your xorg log file with the uImage-drm10 with the following modified xorg.conf?

Code: Select all

Section "Device"
            Identifier "ATI RV620 [FirePro 2260]"
            BusID "PCI:5@4096:0:0"
    EndSection
Thanks,
Christian

have posted the outcomes on the bug site, however in relation to the log I cannot get it because:

1. Using the example xorg.conf and uImage-drm10 I cannot access the xserver at all (noting the log will be saved)
2. My subsequent reboot also fails due to the xorg.conf still being in the system. This time I can access shell screemns and remove the xorg.conf but will require another reboot.
3. The old log now reflects the second reboot as detailed above.

Hi Allan,

We still have to use the vgaarb patch. Could you please update the bug report with your results? Maybe Michel has another solution.

Sorry but I can't get any logs. Once it fails I have to reboot and remove thexorg.conf which in turn requires another reboot thus overwriting the log file we wish to access. RC6 boots fine to Firepro with logitech mouse working.
