Hd prep

A 1 terabytes HD’s what file format for Ubuntu Linux can’t seem to get to go on the 4 gig usb or so I need a bigger usb I thought a guy said fat 32 for the file system thanks

I would recommend ext4.

Thank you,would that be able to be done on fresh install as I have no other Linux machine.also what size HD’s would you recommend for Linux or usb . I mean using the download format that is on the website here to place Linux on a storage device of any type

At least 64GB.

So when you download whatever Linux version it will ask you what file system and then you choose ext4 it will format the usb stick because they usually come with fat32 or ntfs. Thank you what brand is everyone using.
