X5000 via null modem RS-232 serial cable

Post by xeno74 »

Hi All,

It is possible to connect U-Boot and a shell from the X5000 via a null modem RS-232 serial cable. I use a USB null modem RS-232 serial cable.

Cheers,

Re: X5000 via null modem RS-232 serial cable

Many modern PCs don't have serial ports, so you may need e.g. an USB to serial converter. But alternatively another Amiga running e.g. good old Term can also be used to capture the output. Even a classic one; it may be an advantage if it has a faster serial port (like a SilverSurfer), but it can be done without one.
