Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
Getting there but then stopped don’t know what this means.
Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
Some files are missing on your Fienix partition (/dev/sdb2) for example /sbin/init. Please copy with dd the Fienix image again to the FIENIX partition. Please read the Fienix installation instructions more carefully.Tijatjj wrote:Getting there but then stopped don’t know what this means.

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
A new boot image that includes both the "boot" and "Fienix" partitions is available here.
Updated instructions for X5000.
Christian could you dd this image to a USB disk and see if it will boot on your X1000?

Thank you for the new image. I will test it.
Have you added the new Arctic Fox 27.9.16 to the Fienix repository yet?

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
The last version I have stably working is 2.8.x I believe. I'll include that in the repository this weekend. My first try with 2.10 wasn't successful. Maybe you could give it a try if you have some time. Also have you tried building the new STK? I have not had the chance, but I seen that it has network play in the new version.

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
Thanks in advance that you want include Gimp 2.8.x in your repository! I tested a new STK version last year. It’s really amazing but it needs a very powerful computer.caseycullen wrote:The last version I have stably working is 2.8.x I believe. I'll include that in the repository this weekend.
