The correct version is available in the Fienix software repository. The repository is preconfigured.
What are you trying to do?

If you want to install GParted click on Menu, Administration, Synaptic. It will be located in Menu, System Tools, GParted.

Maybe this should be a new thread but I couldn't figure out what to call it.

I tried to print an important document from LibreOffice Writer. I got a warning:
"Could not start printer.
"Please check your printer configuration."

The Print window and the subsequent warning were both "on Fienix.network." Well, so is LibreOffice Writer itself! What in the world is Fienix.network? Google won't tell me.

Fortunately LibreOffice Writer kindly exported the document as PDF which printed readily, but it seems silly to have to go through that extra step.

It looks like several people on several OSes have experienced this issue. Several people have been able to resolve the issue by doing the following:
1) Start LibreOffice
2) Click Help > Restart in Safe Mode
3) A dialog for "Enter Safe Mode" should appear, click "Restart"
4) LibreOffice will restart in Safe Mode and display the Safe Mode dialog; choose "Reset to factory settings" and check "Reset settings and interface modifications" and "Reset the whole user profile"
5) Click "Make Changes and Restart"

If this does not work, please advise of the following:
1) The manufacturer of your printer
2) The output when you enter "lpstat -t" in MATE Terminal
3) The output when you enter "uname -a" in MATE Terminal
4) The output when you enter "lsusb" in MATE Terminal
5) Also please check to see if you are able to open and print the document with Abiword, which is available from the Fienix software repository

Fienix uses CUPS for printing. CUPS is a print server. "Fienix.network" is just the "network" CUPS creates between your PC and the printer.

kilaueabart - please update Arctic Fox and let me know if this issue is resolved for you.
As I noted back in March, the update fixed the problem for Arctic Fox,

but it remains for Firefox ESR and New Moon.

At least in New Moon, some of those things are white and remain so when I type in them:

In this case I can see the text by swiping the cursor over it (but I have reached my demonstration attachment limit).

Is that a missing package from the Fienix repository? If so I can add it.
-Casey
Maybe you could add the package libdvd-pkg.
I was able to install the package libdvd-pkg 1.4.2-1-1 (DVD-Video playing library -installer) on Fienix today. After that it automatically compiled the needed libraries for playing DVDs.

Hi Casey,

FYI:
musa wrote:Hi Christian
Gramps has been added to the Fienix software repository.
When install gramp I got a error on loading the osmgps modules.
I try to install the missing dependencies I got this.
Everything else in Gramp works as far as I can see.

Cheers,
