Hi I'm still having problems with USB lockups and my keyboard being unreliable so I thought I'd post a few snippets of my usb.log output after initial boot up before any crashes or lockups to see if it means anything to anyone or if anyone can please help:

I don't have an X5000 so i don't know which USB driver version you are using, but i'm afraid that this will only be "fixed" if the USB driver gets some love.

You are not the only one with USB problems, while it's far better (i guess) on the X1000 i too have occasional glitches with third party hubs and/or USB hardware.

I really hope that the driver get some enhancements, so i could finally use a HDMI KVM switch without buying 30+ mice to find one that works

A lot of the USB issues I find on the X5000 are down to the lack of power assigned to the 2 sets of ports USB 0 and USB 1. Think they are capped at 500mA per port i think? I only really worked this out because I kept getting issues where my keyboard or mouse would just lock up , but found that when I plugged the mouse in the top end ports with the keyboard at the bottom it solved the issue.

Equally with a USB hub plugged in try to ensure it runs off its own power supply for better reliability. To give you an example without a usb hub being externally powered, if I run a joypad mouse and keyboard off it, I get the issue of either the mouse or keyboard stop working, yet when I plug in an external power supply to the hub everything works fine. Have tried this in both AmigaOS and MorphOS.

It is a pain that this usb unreliability exists - if ports existed for classic amiga joypads and keyboards with legacy connectors it wouldn't be so bad, but everyone is dependant on USB whether they want to use old or new mice, keyboards and joysticks etc...

I've got my Amiga 4000 keyboard and mouse I could use on the X5000 for more reliability while we wait on better usb support, but I'd have to plug them into usb adapters to use them so they end up also just being usb! :(
