Hi All,

I released the stable longterm kernel 4.19.65 today.

New:
  • CONFIG_PREEMPT: Preemptible Kernel (Low-Latency Desktop). This allows applications to run more 'smoothly' even when the system is under load.
  • Initial ramdisks for the X5000 and X1000. Instructions for creating an initial ramdisk: forum.hyperion-entertainment.com
  • Linux Git log
It also includes:
  • X1000: pcmcia patch for solving the issues with new CF cards connected to the onboard CompactFlash Card Slot (Thanks to Darren)
  • X1000: compressed kernel (zImage) and uncompressed kernel (vmlinux)
Download: linux-image-4.19.65-X1000_X5000.tar.gz

Image

Please test the kernels because Casey would like to add these to the next Fienix ISO.

Thanks,
Christian

I did not mean ISO but IMG.

@Casey
The stable kernel 4.20 has reached EOL. Please use the stable longterm kernel 4.19 for Fienix instead.

Hi All,

I compiled the latest longterm kernel 4.19.85 today. Unfortunately the issue with the MATE Terminal still exists. I can't solve it because I don't see any error messages after the crash. I tried it with gdb but without any success.

Cheers,
Christian

The MATE Terminal also crashes with the longterm kernel 4.14.
