no. looks identical to the screenshot posted.
i'm currently testing if the usb image was written correct. Skateman pointed me to "Rufus USB Tool". and with that i cannot even select the big ubuntu .img file for writing :-( not recognized...

Without error messages, it is difficult to solve the problems. Could you please test a X1000 Linux kernel compiled by Julian?

hmm...
i checked the md5 of the archive MATE_PowerPC_Remix_2017_0.8.img.tar.gz and it looks fine. like written on the download page.
then i used UNTGZ on windows to check the archive. thie is the result (extract):

Code: Select all

UNTGZ32.EXE -l MATE_PowerPC_Remix_2017_0.8.img.tar.gz

so i get a warning first: untgz32: warning - possibly invalid tar archive, skip to next block (Y/N/A/Q) A
then the .img file is listed and quite some more..
expecially the part beginning with

Hi Michael,

That's really strange. You're the first one with this problem. The other users don't have all these problems. Did you download the image from Google+? If yes, could you please download the image from Xenosoft.de and test again?

Download: MATE_PowerPC_Remix_2017_0.8.img.tar.gz

Thanks,
Christian
