CF card trouble

Hi!
I have replaced installed 128MB with 4GB CF card, FAT16 formatted. Everything worked nice,
until ... CFE or whoever kind of self-corrupted it (is there a way to lock the card from software as read only?)
Now, I have trouble in formatting it. Since I cannot CFE boot Linux from CF card, I tried with Ubuntu 12 CD.
Its mounted, FAT16 formatted and I can copy files but I cannot see it from AmigaOS.
Other way around, its booted and can be formatted from AmigaOS but when I FAT16 format it and copy files
it doesnt work from CFE.
Any standard procedure?
