Wired eth0 and eth1 Quick Question [Solved]

Post by jdupuis »

In the beginning was told not to plug in both Nemo Gigabyte and Realtek wired at the same time. So. being of hard - head I did. So I "disconnect" Realtek (eth1) and use PWRficient GB (eth0) while in Ubuntu. I'm going through my router switcher. Shouldn't be a problem, right?
Of course both connected, the Realtek slows things down, hence I just simply "disconnect" eth1. Boot into AmigaOS and PWRficient GB is not recognized.

Is this acceptable?

Cheers!!

Yes, it's acceptable. :-)

Does the PWRficient GB work with the RC2 of kernel 4.6?

Running Linux on AmigaONEs can require some tinkering.

xeno,

Using 4.1.20 in Ubuntu. Haven't built up to 4.6 yet. It's nice not having to physically connect and disconnect Ethernet cable. Ubuntu 12.04.05 LTS stable and holding with kernel 4.1.20. PWRficient GB Ethernet is awesome! :)

Cheers!!

Hi,

Simply deleted the Wired Realtek connection in "Edit Connections". Works great. I have both Ethernet cables connected with Ubuntu only connecting to Onboard GB and AOS connecting to Realtek card.

Cheers!!
