Kernel 4.6.3 boots my MATE 12.04 just fine. I see no difference from using Kernel 4.1.25 or 4.7. But I bet SuperTuxKart will crash me in a moment.

Many thanks for testing the stable kernel 4.6.3.

Do you use the following SuperTuxKart package?

supertuxkart-0.8.1-3-altivec-linux-glibc2.13-ppc.tar.gz

You can start it with ./run_game.sh.
