Does Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with the Kernel 3.14 RC4 support USB3?
Which card do i need?
I want to use this card for my 1TB USB3 HD(USB2 works too)
It is important for me that this usb card works under OS4.1 too but only in USB2 modus

The official answer given a few months back was, "Not yet."

Zappa2009 wanted USB3 support. And we have USB3 support since kernel
vmlinux-3.8.7x1000-usb3-nouveau.tar.gz.
It means all new kernels have USB3 support.
Could you ask Zappa2009, which USB3 card did he buy, last year?

Unter Linux works this Card fine but in OS4.1.6 no Driver are loaded.
USB3-Sticks , USB3-HDD (without additional Power) , USB3-SDXC-Reader , USB3-Cardreader works fine.
I can use the one USB3-Frontslot and 2 on the Card.
So we must wait for a USB3-Driver for OS4.1.6
And its a PCIe x1 Card so I dont know if a USB3-PCI will works with OS4.1.6.

Looks like the same as mine. Only the Color is different.
Tell us how your Card can work with OS4.1.6

I ordered this one based on the NEC D720201 chipset and connected it to my 2 front USB 3.0 ports. It works perfectly in Ubuntu 12.04 although I have not done any speed tests.

I just plugged in the card and booted Ubuntu.
