Canonical has released a new version of the Ubuntu 3.13 longterm kernel. I have patch it with our nemo patch and I have built it for our AmigaOne X1000. You can boot your A-EON Live Remix DVD with this kernel. It also works with Lubuntu 12.04.4, Ubuntu 10.04.4 etc. It doesn't have a kernel modules directory.

Download: kernel-3.13.13-1-x1000-ubuntu-ppc64.tar.bz2 (It based on the latest Ubuntu kernel sources 3.13.0-32.56)

Changelog

Have a lot of fun with the new kernel! :)

Hi All,

Our Ubuntu Live Remix DVD based on Ubuntu 12.04. Canonical offers an update to the version 12.04.5 LTS. You can update your existing Remix installation without any problems. :)

But ...

Please do not update to the new "Hardware Enablement Stack". Why? You don't have any benefits with the new stack on your A1-X1000. The new stack includes a new X11 and Mesa 9.0.3 without any benefits for you. Mesa 9.0.3 doesn't support any Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards because there isn't the RadeonSI driver in the package. :-( But if you need the new stack, you have to look for the packages with "-lts-quantal" at the end of the package name.

Rgds,

Christian

A new 3.13 longterm kernel by Canonical for our Live Remix DVD is available. I have patched it with our nemo patch and then I have removed the CPU frequency scaling support from the kernel config. This means, that the CPU always runs in the highest rate. This kernel is based on the latest Ubuntu kernel sources 3.13.0-33.58.

Changelog

Download: kernel-3.13.14-1-x1000-ubuntu-ppc64.tar.bz2
