Post by embe »

Dear all,

I am a new Dealer for AmigaOS and am proud to present to you my OnlineShop that also has the probably hottest Hardware ever for your X1000!

For example: MAGMAbreath and MAGMAcooler are the answer to your question, how can you get the CPU and System temperature down!

To everyone who is interested in cooling optimization for AmigaONE X1000 NEMO MoBo, please visit my Online Shop at http://www.marcus.computer.

It has launched today, January the 30th, 2015.

Unfortunately I was not able yet to translate the site into English. So bare with me, I will do this in the next couple weeks. In the meantime please do not hesitate to contact me directly!

Kind regards

Marcus,

It would seem that you don't have an X-1000 yourself, or perhaps you would realise that there is no cooling problem to fix.

The fan/heatsink on the X-1000 is perfectly adequate, even in Sydney's summer months. The CPU temperature remains 30-40 K below its rated maximum at all times.

I wish you well with your new venture.
cheers

Of course I own the X1000. And the tiny cooler with its far too loud fan was out of the box a terrible cooling solution.

But if your system is cool and silent, why don't you let others decide themselves, if they need a better cooling or not. Because...

...From my experience there are many different reports about this. Some say, no problem at all, while others say, what a rubbish is mounted on the mainboard when it arrives.

Also Keep in mind, some systems do wear after the years, more or less, depending on usage. The thermal pad needs replacement after the years as it dry out. This is the same as for other PCs. AmigaONE is there not different.

Believe me, I have very good experience and skills in regards to this. Otherwise I wouldn't have started to develop these accessories, if they were senseless for the X1000 community.

So anyone else, who's having thermal issues or wants the system to be silent finally, please visit my Shop.

Here are some results of our laboratory tests:

Product Name > Results
•quad LED: case 30° Celsius, CPU 38° Celsius
•silent 80: case 31° Celsius, CPU 38° Celsius
•super silent 80: case 30° Celsius, CPU 37° Celsius
•silent black 120: case 31° Celsius, CPU 39° Celsius
•silent white 120: case 29° Celsius, CPU 38° Celsius
•blue 120: case 32° Celsius, CPU 39° Celsius
•red 120: case 32° Celsius, CPU 39° Celsius

Kind regards

Gentlemen,

From the"Forum Posting and Rules of Conduct"
http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz ... p?f=9&t=69
This message board does not try to be a community portal. There are a number of AmigaOS-related community portals like Amigans.net, AmigaWorld, net or Amiga.Org for this purpose. As such, unless the forum's description explicitly states otherwise, we would ask you to not engage in any off-topic discussion, or in fact any discussion that is not support related. If you have doubts about whether a certain post or topic is appropriate, do not hesitate to contact a moderator or admin.

So, unless Hyperion is now marketing heat sinks... the support forums are probably not the right place for advertising.

Of course, I do not speak for Hyperion. I just try to help with product support.
Thank You for your consideration.

Yes the fan on x1000 is noisy, at least what i think. Small fans do produce more noise. I changed to fractal r2 fan but didnt lower that much. So i use the potentiometer that comes with the machine to lower the speed down at winther and higher the speed at summer :)
My radeonhd 6850 has 2 big fans that are really silent. Its only the cpu fan that sounds most.

Bringing down the noise is always welcome except at discoteques :)

That is true.

However, just one message doesn't hurt too much. Let's just not make it a habit.
