Autodoc file extension

Postby trixie » Thu Aug 18, 2011 8:50 am

For historical reasons, the AmigaOS autodoc files take the .doc extension. I think it doesn't make sense any more - especially as the said extension denotes, by purest chance, a certain file format used by the most widespread editor in the world :-) The autodocs are text files so .txt would be more logical. (Some might argue we don't need an extension at all, which is true - under AmigaOS. But I sometimes refer to the documentation from a PC system so an extension would save me from renaming the whole lot.)
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!
