Hi,
Does anyone know which graphics cards are now supported with OS 4.1 U3. I know the Radeon 7000, 9000, 9200/9250 are supported. I have a spare 9600 AGP card, would this work? Also are the HD3xxx and HD4xxx AGP cards supported?
Thanks for any advice.
Andy.

Andy,
I have a 9800 Pro which works. But I'm currently using a 9250.

Re: Supported Graphics cards for AmigaOne XE
None of these will work. They all require an AGP 4x or better slot i.e. one which uses 1.5v signalling. The A1 has a 2x (3.3v) slot without the required Key to prevent an incompatable voltage card being inserted.AndyBeeson wrote:I have a spare 9600 AGP card, would this work? This is why everone testing Hans's RadeonHD driver is having to source PCI versions for use on the A1.

Darren

I recommended a 9250 to an A1 owning friend. But is AGP okay for a 9250? Are these also 4x up and only PCI version will work or what?

Re: Supported Graphics cards for AmigaOne XE
I have 9250 AGP cards in both my A1s (G3 and G4 XEs), working fine. Of course this means you can't have anything in the fast PCI slot next to the AGP slot, only in the three other ones.Hypex wrote:I recommended a 9250 to an A1 owning friend. But is AGP okay for a 9250?

Re: Supported Graphics cards for AmigaOne XE
I think the Ati Radeon 9000 and 9000Pro are the best choice, they are 128Bit and much faster than the 9250 cards.
I use a Ati Radeon 9000 pro in my Aone XE G4 and a 9000 in my Pegasos II.

Really? Do you mean the memory? If so that is strange. I have a 9200SE sitting in my A1 and it has 128-bit DDR onboard VRAM! I thought the 9250 would have killed it.Evillord68 wrote:128Bit and much faster than the 9250 cards.
Re: Supported Graphics cards for AmigaOne XE
I can confirm that the Radeon 9000 Pro is the fastest for the AmigaOne XE (AGP).
Simply because it's clocked at 275 Mhz while others are clocked at 250Mhz.
Just check Wikipedia's comparison table of Radeon Chipsets.
