Installation OS4.1 FE from OS 3.x

Post by Rotzloeffel »

Hi Volks,

just to inform you about a minor issue If you try to install 4.1 FE at your Amiga not using the startdisk.
There is an icon on the CD wich is called "install from OS3.x" If you do so, the script has an error by using the WRONG CD-Name! the CD name is "AmigaOS4.1 Final Edition" and the script searches a CD called AmigaOS 4.1 Final edition! There is an additional space between OS and 4.1 ! So you have to assign this name manualy and redo the assign after the Kernel boots, because the install CD uses its real name for installation.

maybe you can fix this if you are planing to release a new iso for Download. I think this is a realy rare used function, but anyway it is a small bug ;)

Question: Why is Amiga 3000 internal SCSI deactivated in Kicklayout of the A3000 ???? Is it not functional at the moment? Thanks!

You should be able to download a fixed ISO from the downloads page if your copy is registered.

I have mailed Rotzloeffel about this problem and we find out, he have used an older ISO V53.70, the latested is V53.71 and solves the problem with CD name.
