@LyleHaze
I am curious as to why your system is giving so many problems that most of us are not having.
I don't know Lyle, that's why heavy betatesting was needed no ?
I am running a clean install of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition here. I find FInalEdition even more stable that 4.1 update six. Many others have said the same.
Well maybe because you have a different machine, pretty possible that OS4 under your X1000 is reacting different compared to my Sam440 .. but look i have heard also a couple of X1000 users that have tons of problems with FE, so i'm not alone
I hope you can figure out what is making your system act so differently.
My Sam440 is ok and it was high stable with the update 6, latest installation with FE goes well too but as i told you above there are various stability issues :roll:

There are some bugs in FE. Note, we do it only in our free time after work and family. It is impossible to check all components.
I think there will be released an update with bugfixes or updates will come over Amiupdate. We don`t have tons of developer and betatester like Apple or Microsoft.

Of course i know that .. only considering that this release was marked as "final" i'm expected a bit more in term of stability, i never though to have all that problems considering that latest updates were so stable and mature :roll:

Hope they will release it soon, some reported issues seems not so difficult to solve

Aniway i retried to set a 320*240 resolution for FinalBurn (this time just adding a proper tooltype in "Devs/Radeon 9250") so i didn't touch anythings in screenmode prefs (bad experience that before caused me to reinstalling the whole OS from scratch)

So now i have that one:
CMPLENGTH=11
BOARDTYPE=Radeon 9250
(DDCMODE=ALL)
VSYNCMIN=60
VSYNCMAX=70
HSYNCMIN=31000
HSYNCMAX=70000
MODE=320x240@70D
MODE=640x480@60
MODE=800x600@60
MODE=1024x768@60
MODE=1280x720@60
MODE=1280x800@60
MODE=1280x960@60
MODE=1280x1024@60
MODE=1440x900@60
MODE=1600x900@60
MODE=1600x1200@60
MODE=1680x1050@60
(FAKENATIVEMODES=Yes)
INTERRUPT=Yes
And no problem, atleast for now ... however when i check my video resolutions with SysMon i found that;

As you can see into the list i have a curious 320*128 resolution, i never set somethings similar and it isn't present in tooltype, i suspect it might be more or less what happened in my first OS installation when i tried to set a 320*240 directly from the screenmode prefs and so it make great chaos ! ... at that time quite often at reboot my OS were restarted using that strange resolution (and so freezed instantanely) ... or just a black screen instead ... well from where it comes this 320*128 ??

Samo79,

That's legacy classic PAL video modes.

MODE=320x240@70D

Why 70?

Could you try with
MODE=320x240@60D
MODE=320x240@60

Did you already tried to uncomment :
(DDCMODE=ALL)
µA1 256mo SATA -> lend to a dev
A1200PPC 256Mo MediatorTX Radeon9250 SATA RTL8029 SOLO-1
Sam440ep 533mhz 512mo 64Go SSD
Sam460ex 1150mhz 2Go RadeonHD 6570LP ENVY24HT
AmigaOne X1000 4Go SSD R9 270X Catweasel MK4
AmigaOne X5000 -> work in progress

Right-clicking on a fully mounted Samba disk icon results in a message about a Disk not being found... simply clicking Ignore and the Context-menu appears as it should.

Yes In general i always used "60", but this time I choosed "70D" because FinalBurn need it in order to show correctly games in fullscreen, Huno wrote on FinalBurn readme this:
Important : for 320x240 resolution: add 320x240@70D (with D option "DOUBLE") in your monitor TOOLTYPES (not all the modes are supported when connected with HDMI or DVI cable, please use analogic VGA if possible)
For now all works as expected, just i don't understand for where it comes this strange "320*128", it's not visible in tooltype nor in my screenmode preferences, but SysMon still show it ..

Ehm now to be honest i'm a bit in fear to touch it again (:D) considering that my previews "playing" with that resolutions settings caused me so mutch problems that i was forced to do a complete reinstallation (my os booted automatically at 320*128 and then freezed instantanely or just a black screen instead)

Will recheck aniway

I confirm too that under FE, RMB/Information on my SMB volumes fails now.

To be sure, I rebooted on my 4.1.6 system. On the same volumes, RMB/Information works fine.

4.1.FE : The same share

The "Final" label refers to the fact there will not be any more 4.1 updates. The quality of the release has nothing to do with the label.

Ok, but if tons of bugs will be discovered, then a new series of updates or bugfix (even smaller) are needed no ?
So it can't be really marked as "final" because the word "final" imply atleast a stable OS imho :)
